A dental implant is basically an artificial titanium root that is implanted in the jawbone in place of
the lost tooth. It is a metallic screw placed in the bone through surgery. In case of one missing
tooth, a single dental implant is used, along with a supporting crown for the implant. In case
more than one tooth is missing, a number of dental implants are used along with a bridge. The
dental implants that we are using at our clinic are Pitt-Easy-Bio Oss, from www.oraltronics.com,
a German company.
The cost of one dental implant at our clinic is 750 Euros, plus 265 Euros for implant crown, which
is normally placed on top of the dental implant after 6 months following the implant surgery.
Implant surgeries are carried out in 2 stages at our clinic. The first stage of the surgery is the
placing of the dental implant itself which is completely free of pain. A period of 4-6 months of
healing time is needed before we place the final crown, bridge or denture on top of the dental
implant.
